Open to all Painting Majors located in Savannah expected to graduate between Spring 2025 and Fall 2025. 

Students can submit up to 5 works for consideration. Works will be chosen based on quality, size, and the overall grouping of the exhibition. Works will be juried by the Dean of Fine Arts, Chair of Fine Arts and the Exhibition Team from the SCAD Museum of Art.  Awards will be chosen by our visiting artist mentor, to be announced. The Dean's award will be chosen by the Dean of Fine Arts.
 

DATES:

Notification of acceptance: April 16th

Drop off works between April 28th - May 2nd in the conference room of Alexander Hall, room 118.  

Exhibition duration: May 6th - May 30th

Exhibition event: Thursday May 29th, 2025

Work Pick-up: May 30th 


RECEPTION:

The reception runs from 5-7 Please invite your families, this is our graduation celebration!

The faculty remarks and welcome will take place at 6

Awards are announced at 6:05

Open to the public - Refreshments provided

Best in Show - $1,000

2nd Place - $600

3rd Place - $200

Four Honorable Mentions - $100 each

Dean's Award for Citizenship and Artistry - $500

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

All accepted works must be ready to hang prior to drop off/delivery to the Alexander Hall Conference room. Works on paper must be professionally framed. If actual work differs from submitted images, it may be rejected from exhibition.

Any installation instructions, diagrams, etc. should be clear, easy to follow and TYPED.

No hand-written notes will be accepted, this is a professional exhibition.

Any complex installations must have instructions and all necessary hardware enclosed in a baggie or envelope secured to the work, or else the work will be pulled from the show. No exceptions.

If your work is fragile, then you need to wrap it/pack it to protect it.

ANY WET WORK DROPPED OFF WILL BE IMMEDIATELY PULLED FROM THE SHOW. No exceptions.
